Under going some major redevelopment work at the moment to enable it to host the FIA Formula 1 British Grand Prix luckily the classic features of the circuit remain, the flat out downhill cambered ‘Craner Curves’ still remain before the world famous ‘Old Hairpin’ are all classics which make this circuit extremely rewarding from the driving seat.

Thruxton

Location: South, near Andover (just off the A303) - Click here for a map -

Known as the tyre eater! This circuit boast’s one of the fastest corners in UK motorsport, the famous ‘Church’ corner at the rear of the circuit is a flat out right hander which you simply have to get right, there is no margin for error as you approach this 120mph corner, Thruxton is well known for its average speed which normally teeters around the 100mph mark regardless of what car your driving, your only rest bite is the two complex’s at either end of the main straight where the high kerbs will punish all who push their car to hard.

Location: South East, (just off the M20) - Click here for a map -

A personal favourite of ‘The Driving Experience’ owner Rob West after many successful wins at the circuit, this circuit is said to have one of the best corners in the world, the world famous ‘Paddock Hill Bend’ a total rollercoaster from the moment you enter the final part of the start finish straight as the road starts to camber away from you, you start your turn in, before you can see your apex as your half way through your turn in you can see your apex, just as the road starts to camber away from you pushing you harder in to the compression at the bottom of the hill before taking as much kerb as you dare on the exit before you propel yourself up the hill for ‘Druids’ the slowest corner on the circuit, the exit of ‘Druids’ is crucial as you could be punished by faster cars on the entry to ‘Graham Hill’ which is a fantastic off cambered left hander, this circuit is an all time favourite of ‘The Driving Experience’ & with lap times around the Indy Circuit around the minute mark, when you get this circuit right, it puts the biggest smile on your face.....

Location: North West, near Chester - Click here for a map -

Oulton Park, has to be one of the most picturesque circuits in the UK set within a natural forest, mostly unchanged since its first race, it still features the all rewarding corners of ‘Old Hall & Cascades’ The ‘Clay Hill’ Climb and the fast ‘Druids Corner’ Before the heavy bumpy braking zone that leads into lodge & the famous ‘Deer’s Leap’ which will compress you before throwing you out at the top at close to 100mph.

Location: East, near Norwich - Click here for a map -

Snett as its commonly known is another fast UK circuit with one of the ‘Revett Straight’ which seems never ending as you press the accelerator into the floor before hitting the brakes hard for the quick left right flick into the ‘Esses’ before the fantastic ‘Bomb Hole’ which just wants to throw you off the circuit before the brilliant ‘Coram Curve’ which is tempting to carry more & more speed through each time around.

Cadwell Park

With its fast main straight commitment is a must with every turn in, ‘Chris Curve & The Gooseneck’ are all extremely fast corners which give you the feeling that the car is working very hard to keep you on the road, with the famous ‘Mountain’ section which reminds you every tenth of a second as your car is twitching from side to side that the immediate barrier inches from the road you have to get this circuit exactly right!!
